Tacuma Peters (Ph.D., U.C. Berkeley; Political Science) is an Assistant Professor in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy at James Madison College and in the Department of Philosophy. His research is focused on eighteenth century anti-imperialism in the Americas and the intersection of social and political philosophy with chattel slavery, European empire, and decolonization. He teaches courses on the history of political thought, Africana philosophy, Caribbean Philosophy, and contemporary social and political thought.
