College Begins 2026-27 Academic Year with New Programs, People, and Possibilities

A new academic year brings new beginnings and Fall 2026 marks an especially significant moment for Michigan State University’s College of Arts and Letters. English and Philosophy Double Major Named Newman Civic Fellow for Dedication to Community Engagement

Roberto Garcia, a junior double majoring in English and Philosophy at Michigan State University, has been named a 2025-2026 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact, a nationwide coalition of civic and community engagement experts representing colleges and universities across the country.
