I’m a dual PhD student in philosophy and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior (EEB). Here in philosophy, I’m interested in the history and philosophy of biology and cognitive science. Some recent projects have included a paper on Freud’s Lamarckism, and another on issues attending the interpretation of “marker” evidence in animal minds research. In biology, I study mating behavior in weakly electric fish. I’ve also done some field work on migratory birds at the Cape Horn Field Station in Puerto Williams, Chile. In my free time, I play guitar and hike in the woods.
